Mike (Billy Gardell) and Molly (Melissa McCarthy) meet at an overeaters anonymous group and fall in love. Molly is a teacher living with her mother and younger sister, whereas Mike is a police officer who, during his lunchbreak, frequently eats with his best friend and partner, Carl (Reno Wilson) at the diner where their friend Samuel (Louis Mustillo) is the waiter.
