Preview: Cristela (ABC) - Everyone and everything is called Cristela
By Robin Oatley on September 10, 2014
On the brink of landing her first (unpaid) internship, Cristela struggles with combining her ambition and her traditional Mexican-American family. Although I haven’t seen enough yet to judge if Cristela ticks all the boxes, the trailer has certainly tickled my funny bone.
Review: Red Band Society (FOX) - Redefining the genre
By Daniel Redford on September 9, 2014
Red Band Society is redefining the genre of teen shows, as it strikes a perfect balance between serious and silly. If you’re one of those people that immediately crossed it off your list, I would strongly urge you to reconsider.

Preview - Bad Judge (NBC): The premise is good, the trailer is not
By Robin Oatley on September 6, 2014
Bad Judge tells the story of Rebecca Wright who is what you might call a ‘wild child. However, Rebecca is also one of the most respected and most strict criminal court judges. Still, her wild side shows in the courtroom through her unorthodox behaviour and her creative rulings.
Preview: Gracepoint (FOX) - Even better than Broadchurch?
By Daniel Redford on September 5, 2014
Gracepoint appears to be a one-to-one copy of Broadchurch. Since the latter was exceptionally compelling, that is not going to be a problem at all.
Review: Forever (ABC) - I could watch this forever
By Emily Donovan on September 4, 2014
Forever stars Ioan Gruffudd as Doctor Henry Morgan, a New York City medical examiner. He is immortal and studies the deceased to learn more about his own immortality while also solving murders. As far as he knows there is only one person in the world who knows his secret, but then he starts getting strange phone calls.
Preview: Stalker (CBS) - Maybe there won’t be a restraining order for this Stalker
By Emily Donovan on September 3, 2014
Stalker follows (see what I did there) two detectives of the LAPD Threat Assessment Unit who try to stop stalkers from harassing their victims and might break a rule or two along the way.
Preview: Manhattan Love Story (ABC) - Depth would be greatly appreciated
By Daniel Redford on September 1, 2014
Manhattan Love Story is another run of the mill rom-com series, with the exception that the viewer is able to hear most of what Peter and Dana are thinking.
Preview: Black-ish (ABC) - Not even funny-ish
By Emily Donovan on August 30, 2014
Black-ish centers on a middle-class African-American family which struggles to keep its cultural identity in a predominantly white neighborhood. Has living the American dream has brought too much assimilation for his family?
Preview: How To Get Away With Murder (ABC) - Or: How To Get Shonda Her Own Night On ABC?
By Daniel Redford on August 28, 2014
How To Get Away With Murder essentially uses the same success formula as Scandal, and to a lesser degree as Grey’s Anatomy, and it is written by perhaps the currently most successful TV producer; it has all the ingredients to become an instant hit.
