Preview: Into The Badlands (AMC) - And straight into your heart?

By on October 23, 2015

Martial arts drama Into The Badlands revolves around a warrior who finds a young boy. Together they set off on a journey to find enlightenment. The series pairs martial arts with a post-civilization setting, which sounds very promising.

Preview: Agent X (TNT) - Please don’t disappoint

By on October 21, 2015

Agent X looks like it has a lot of action in it, and that may be exactly what you need after the (mostly) disappointing Fall season so far.

Review: Truth Be Told (NBC) - Truth be told, it’s horrible

By on October 17, 2015

Did you see what I did there in the title? Of course you did, because it is predictable and just plain bad. Adjectives that also happen to aptly describe Truth Be Told.

Preview: Wicked City (ABC) - Los Angeles is a creepy city, unless you’re the creeper

By on October 15, 2015

Anthology series Wicked City’s first season revolves around two detectives chasing a romantically linked pair of serial killers who are terrorizing the Sunset Strip. Although it is yet another detective anthology, I think the first season will be very interesting, and the definitive endpoint to the storyline will likely make it high paced and intense.

Review: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (The CW) - Ridiculous and a little confusing, but fun

By on October 13, 2015

For one magical summer, Rebecca and Josh were together, and it has changed her forever. Him; not so much. It’s only natural that Rebecca follows him when he moves to West Covina ten years later. And that she sings about it. A lot. But, you know, she’s not moving there for him. He just happens to be there.

Review: Supergirl (CBS) - Just fine, not super

By on October 8, 2015

Supergirl centers on Superman’s cousin Kara. After living on Earth for 24 year, she decides it’s time to embrace her roots and save people in need.

Preview: Truth Be Told (NBC) - NBC’s comedy woes are far from over

By on October 6, 2015

The premise of Truth Be Told is very flimsy, but then again, the premises of some of TV’s most popular comedies were not very elaborate either. Judging from the trailer, Truth Be Told is not going to be one of TV’s most popular comedies, though.

Review: Dr. Ken (ABC) - Another failing comedy?

By on October 3, 2015

Dr. Ken centers on a brilliant physician, who loves his job and his family. He tries to be a good doctor, husband and father all in one. His good intentions drive everyone around his crazy. Luckily his wife is the perfect partner to keep him sane.

Preview: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (The CW) - Could be one of The CW’s best investments this season

By on October 2, 2015

Rebecca is leaving everything behind to move to West Covina for the man she loves: her high school sweetheart Josh, who dumped her ten years ago and hasn’t exactly shown any interest in her romantically at all. Awkward stalker storylines ensue.

Review: Code Black (CBS) - “Hesitate and people die!”

By on October 1, 2015

Code black is when the supply of patients is larger than the emergency room can handle, resulting in situations where lead ER doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden, Trophy Wife) is talking one of her first-year residents through an emergency c-section in the back of an ambulance, while she is simultaneously drilling a hole in a boy’s skull to relieve pressure from a bleed.
