AMC orders new series The Preacher

AMC has ordered a new series based on a comic. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg co-created the upcoming show. The Preacher follows a preacher from Texas who becomes possessed by a supernatural being named Genesis. Genesis is the spawn of an angel and a demon, making him both pure evil and pure good and thus a powerful entity. The preachers goes on a search to find God, possibly to beat him (or her, of course) up. He is helped by his girlfriend and an alcoholic vampire. AMC ordered ten episodes, set to premiere in May 2016.
