CBS has renewed its new summer drama Zoo for a second season. The show, based on the James Patterson novel, was CBS highest-rating summer show, and therefore the renewal does not come as a surprise. The second season of Zoo will premiere in summer 2016.
Of Zoo‘s fellow summer series, Under The Dome was cancelled a month ago, while Extant‘s future is still up in the air (or should I say, up in space?).
Zoo joins the new season of Big Brother and new series BrainDead for next summer’s lineup. BrainDead created by The Good Wife‘s Robert and Michelle King, and is about a woman who discovers that aliens have come to earth and eaten the brains of many of Washington’s politicians.
