Other recent Renewals and Cancellations on TBS:
Angie Tribeca hasn’t aired a single minute, but TBS already feels confident enough to order 1o additional episodes. In a rather confusing press release TBS announced that the first season of Angie Tribeca will all air during a 25-hour marathon, and that the network ordered 10 more episodes.
The first season, consisting out of 10 episodes will air on Sunday, January 17th at 9/8c until Monday January 18th. The network will do a 25-hour marathon of the new show in which each episode of the season will air five times. The episodes will also be available on TBS.com, the Watch TBS mobile app and via TBS On Demand. Yes, you read that right. Each episode will air five times, during a 25-hour marathon. This strategy is part of the networks experiment to distribute content in new ways in front of more viewers.
A week after the marathon the network will start to air the new ten episodes in a more traditional way. These ten episodes are part of what we call season two, instead of season two through eleven as TBS jokingly did. The second season will start on Monday, January 25 at 9:30/8:30c. Each week an encore will follow a new episode.
Angie Tribeca stars Rashida Jones (Parks And Recreation) as a 10-year veteran of the LAPD’s Really Heinous Crimes Unit. She is not happy when her boss (Jere Burns, Justified) announces she will have to work with a partner (Hayes MacArthur, Go On). Angie Tribeca takes a satirical look at police procedurals and is co-created by Steve Carell.
