Scream Queens is officially getting a second season, announced FOX today. This anouncement ends months of speculation on the future of the freshman series after its first season aired its finale back in December.
Alongside the renewal, it was also revealed that the second season of the show will take place in a hospital and “explore some of the most interesting medical fascinomas”. It is currently unclear whether the original cast, which includes Jamie Lee Curtis and Lea Michele, will return as the same characters, or at all. Scream Queens is billed as an anthology series, but there are also stories that the show will have a different setting but the same characters.
