The Last Ship Renewed for Season 4 at TNT

TNT has opted to renew its summer action drama The Last Ship for a fourth season, the network announced on Sunday. The Last Ship is based on the William Brinkley novel of the same name and stars Eric Dane as the captain of a Navy war ship that becomes the key in the survival of a global catastrophe that decimates the world’s population.

The Last Ship‘s fourth season will consist of 13 episodes and premiere in summer 2017. Of its third season, eight out of the thirteen episodes have aired so far, with the season finale scheduled for September 11th.
