Gotham Renewed for Season 3 by FOX

FOX has renewed its Batman origin story Gotham for a third season, the network has announced. This news comes just after the show matched its series low 1.3 in the adults 18-49 demographic. According to the network, the comic book series is averaging 9 million weekly viewers when adding time-shifted viewing. The third season of Gotham will consist of 22 episodes.
Earlier FOX renewals include Scream Queens, Bones, Empire, The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers.
Gotham is set in the DC Comics universe and focuses on detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) at the Gotham City Police Department. At the same time, it shows the origin stories of many well-known Batman villains.
