ABC is busy with handing out renewals today. After giving new seasons to Once Upon A Time and Quantico earlier, it has now also renewed The Goldbergs and Fresh Off The Boat for the 2016-17 season. The Goldbergs‘ creator Adam Goldberg shared the good news on Twitter:
Prepare for a 4th season of smothering, yelling, 80s toys, Star Wars references, tightie whities and the Big Tasty run! We got picked up!!!!

The Goldbergs has been performing very steadily in ABC’s Wednesday comedy block, and has in fact become the network’s second-highest rating comedy after Modern Family. Fresh Off The Boat is getting slightly lower ratings, but is also airing in a more difficult timeslot on Tuesdays.
It is unclear for how many episodes the series have been renewed, but it is safe to assume this means full 22-episode seasons.
