ABC Predictions: The Muppets and Marvel’s Agent Carter cancelled

The Muppets

The Muppets was a project that looked very promising when it was first announced at ABC, and it absolutely delivered when it premiered to a 2.9 in Adults 18-49 back in September. However, five months later it has lost a staggering two-thirds of that number, as it is now down to 0.8’s in that same demographic. There is no way that a comedy with ratings lower than the Friday entries Dr. Ken and Last Man Standing has any chance of getting a renewal. The Muppets is now a Certain Cancellation.

Another low-rating series on ABC is Marvel’s Agent Carter. The show’s second season is consistently getting the lowest ratings for any ABC drama. Even star Hayley Atwell is not very confident that her show will be renewed again this season, as she has already signed on to star in new ABC pilot Conviction. The network president who oversaw the project and (most likely) cut it some slack when renewing it last season, Paul Lee, has exited ABC earlier this week. This makes it even less likely that the show will be cut even more slack this time. Marvel’s Agent Carter is a Certain Cancellation.
