ABC Predictions: Freshmen The Real O’Neals, The Family and Of Kings And Prophets Likely Cancelled

The Real O'Neals

ABC premiered new series The Family and The Real O’Neals last week in special timeslots, which was a very good move in terms of ratings. This week, those two series, alongside other newcomer Of Kings And Prophets, premiered in their regular timeslots. To much less success, I might add.

The Family, which premiered with an acceptable 1.5 in the adults 18-49 demographic in Scandal‘s timeslot last week, dropped a staggering 48% to a 0.8 in the demo in its regular Sunday timeslot. Of Kings And Prophets also got an 0.8 among 18-49 year-olds for its series premiere. The Real O’Neals, finally, premiered last week with two episodes around Modern Family to a very nice average of 1.85 in the demographic. However this week in its regular timeslot, it dropped a terrible 42% to a 1.1.

Clearly, none of these three new shows are the success ABC has hoped for. Especially since it not very likely that they will stabilize immediately, The Family, The Real O’Neals and Of Kings And Prophets are Likely Cancellations.
